Whether you want to write a book, start a blog, or create compelling web content, you need practice. However, writing every day can be a tough habit to form. Life inevitably gets in the way. Check out this video for the strategies I used to write every day until it became habit.

  1. Start small. Grab your coffee and spend 5 minutes a day writing in a journal. Ideas: start with what you’re thankful for, or what you want your day to look like.

  2. Create a phone alarm that reminds you at the same time every day you should be writing. If you find yourself doing something else, consider why.

  3. Give yourself a reward for writing 5 days in a row. If you miss a day, start over.

  4. Find an accountability partner. Tell others that you will write every day and report back to them on your progress.

  5. Track your daily word count in a chart that you keep visible.
